Make it a
family affair as the Spanish Wrangler (guitarist Will Thomas) takes the stage at North Shore Park at 6pm. Stick around for Pablo Cano’s Musical Marionettes then hit the 30-foot tall Titanic Slide.
Theater buffs can pop by the Miracle Theater performing selections from the Tony-award-wining musical “In the Heights” or catch a Spanish-language performance from Little Havana’s Teatro en Miami (performing at the Byron Carlyle Theater at 7pm).
Opera fiends should hit the North Beach Band Shell at 7pm at the Miami Lyric Opera presents La Traviata with full cat and orchestra.
Music lovers will want to camp out at the Rhythm Foundation Stage at 21 & Collins. Brazilian samba band Grupo Embalo takes the stage at 8, followed by local favorite Jacob Jeffries at 9:10. Come midnight, DJ Le Spam takes over, blending Latin, funk & hip hop into their signature “electronica descarga.”
Dancers and the people who admire should head to the Miami City Ballet for performances by students from the school and Flamenco dancer Clarita Figueiras.
Revelers can join the Global Cuba Fest and Cuban Quarter Dance Party from 8pm-1am at the Fillmore or hit Lummus Park for performances by MASS Ensemble.
