Such a chore | Moms Miami Blogs Such a chore
One of the jobs kids can do is feed the family pet.A lazy, self-absorbed, iPod head who expects everything handed to him.
Does this describe your child?
What happened to the days of Laura and Mary, when children helped run a household? Wash on Monday, iron on Tuesday, mend on Wednesday, churn on Thursday ...
Even a made bed would be nice on any day.
Don't hold your breath.
What chores do your children do at home?
Pick up toys?
Set the table?
Clean up after a meal?
Feed the pets?
Dust?
Swab the toilets?
Make lunch?
Wash the car?
Fold the laundry?
Make the grocery list?
Wipe down the mirrors?
Make the bed?
Greet guests at the door?
Pick out the library books?
Water the plants?
Pick the weeds?
Plan out menus?
Make dinner?
Clip coupons?
Clip the cats' nails?
Take out the garbage?
Wipe down the sink?
Maintain the fridge postings?
Read to a younger sibling?
Replace the empty toilet paper roll?
Or...
None of the above?

Nice Blog by the way! Although I am a "stay at home mommy" right now, my kids dont get away with alot of laziness in my household. First of all, we are Hispanic, middle class hard working people therefore our children know that nothing comes easy #1, we come from grandparents that were born in Cuba and Venezuela and nothing has been handed to us either. My parents were the Cubans (my husbands the Venezuelans of course) but our life has been short here so far, I arrived at 10 years of age from Australia - yes, my parents left Cuba to go to Spain to then visit Australia and I surprised them there! We came to Miami to be with "family" which are nowhere to be found 20 years later (step-fam)...but regardless, our children do help mom and dad...such as; set the table, pick up after we eat (this includes our 4 year old that has been helping since she was 2, with easy chores of course!), they sweep and clean their rooms, help mom with the laundry (no folding, I like to do it, but they have helped), take out the trash and the only thing that they really do not mind doing is taking care of each other (they are 4; 16,9,4 and 1) they adore each other and make sure they are always safe if we are out, and they are close which I truly am so proud of! They are kids nonetheless, they "fry eggs" as us hispanics say if I ask them to do something and they are not in the mood, but they also are kids and understand that Mommy is busy and they can help out if needed or when Mommy asks! Many Blessings to all Parents out there! Besitos!
