Children Just Like Me Exhibit
The Children Just Like Me exhibit celebrates culture and lifestyle diversity through the stories of 11 children from around the world. The exhibit runs through May 23. Museum admission is $8; $7.50 for seniors(62+) and free for children under 2. The museum is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday, noon-5 p.m. Sunday.

The World of Giant Insects
Animated robotic insects are enlarged 40 to 600 times their actual size. The exhibit includes a praying mantis, stick insect, beetles, caterpillar, and a locust. Other interactive displays include enlarged mosquitoes, honeybees, and a dragonfly. The exhibit runs through Aug. 1. The zoo is open daily 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Admission is $15.95 plus tax for adults; $11.95 plus tax for kids.

The Wizard of Oz exhibit
You can be off to see "The Wizard of Oz" at the Miami Children's Museum, showing at traveling educational exhibit based on the classic film. This interactive fantasy adventure takes children and families over the rainbow and into the movie itself. You will travel from the sepia-toned Gale Farm to the colorful Land of Oz. Admission is $15 for adults; $12 for children and Florida residents; free for children under 1 year. The museum is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Grossology
Get grossed out while learning about bodily functions at the museum's new exhibit, "Grossology: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Bod." Through animatronics, kids can take the Tour du Nose, climb a large-scale replica of human skin, help Burp-Man expel the gas in his stomach and learn the physics of flatulence. The exhibit runs through May 2. The museum is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Saturday; noon-6 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $11 for adults; $10 for seniors; $9 for kids 2 to 12; free for kids under 2.

Florida Renaissance Festival
The Florida Renaissance Festival comes to Quiet Waters Park weekends through March 14. There will be jousting tournaments, food, human-powered rides and games for children that include the World’s Largest Rocking Horse, Giant Chess, Barrel Rides, and games of strength and skill. The festivities will feature historical reenactments, sword fights and magical illusions. The festival is open 10 a.m. to sunset Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are $20 for adults; $7 for children 6 to 11; free for kids 5 and under. Season passes are $30 for adults; $15 for children under 12. Pre-show discount tickets are available online.

Jack and the Beanstalk
This musical is based on the fairy tale by Joseph Jacobs, following Jack's adventure up the magical beanstalk into a world of friendly giants, evil barons, and dancing geese. The show runs at 2 p.m Saturdays through Feb. 27; at 2:30 Saturdays March 6-27. Tickets are $15.
