Re: Fertility Drugs
Just some updates on the clomid conversation...I was unsuccessful my first month of treatment. I did see an allergist for the reaction I had. He thinks it was a food allergy, not the clomid, but I tested negative to the food allergy tests.
I went in today for the ultrasound before starting my second month of clomid, et al, but now there is a cyst, so they wouldn't treat me this month. They wanted to put me on birth control for the month for the cyst, but I chose not to because of other side effects I've had in the past to the Pill. So I'm in the wait and see mode.
Did anyone else have a cyst after the first month of fertility treatments? If so what happened for you with that? Did you take the birth control pills?

Re: Fertility Drugs
i personally did not have this problem but many women do. there is a lot of information on the web. the one site i found with a lot of answers about fertility including yours is:
http://www.inciid.org/faq.php?cat=infertility101&id=1
I can't vouch for the The InterNational Council on Infertility Information Dissemination site , but the information I did see seems sound.
to find it i entered "cyst birth control pills clomid" into google. there are a lot of other comments on this issue you can see as well.
NOTE TO ALL: on the web there is a LOT of info about fertility. it's not all correct. please try and look for reputable sites/sources. i say this having worked in medical copy writing, side by side with doctors, using the web as a resource.

Re: Fertility Drugs
Just an update...I went on a second round of clomid. Didn't have the rash, which is a good thing!

Re: Fertility Drugs
Starting 3rd round of clomid next week. MD wanted me to switch to the IVF, but I asked for one more round. I probably will stop after this 3rd round and not do IVF. Still trying to decide on that one. I've always wanted to adopt, so I'm leaning toward using the $$ for adoption rather than IVF.
FYI..I've remained a bit dizzy throughout the clomid, ovidril and progesterone, but other than that, no other troublesome side effects.

Re: Fertility Drugs
Just updating my story.
I just finished round 4 of clomid and artificial inseminations. While I am still awaiting the blood test, I don't think the final cycle was successful.
I've opted not to use further interventions, and to pursue adoption options.
